Quick Overview
This demo page shows the structure for a Ledger-style /start page. Below you will find a concise explanation of what to expect during setup, helpful features, and next steps. The page is for demonstration and learning purposes; it is not the official Ledger site.
What is Ledger?
Ledger is a hardware wallet concept: a device that stores the private keys to your crypto offline, reducing exposure to online attacks. The onboarding flow typically includes device initialization, recovery phrase backup, firmware updates, and app installation for the coins you want to manage.
How setup works
- Unbox your device and confirm packaging integrity.
- Create a new wallet and write down the recovery phrase on the provided card.
- Install Ledger Live (desktop/mobile) and add the apps for the assets you want.
- Update firmware and verify addresses before sending funds.
Secure
Private keys never leave the device. Confirm each transaction on the ledger screen.
Manage
Install apps for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and many other assets via the Ledger Live manager.
Recover
Use your recovery phrase to restore your wallet on a new device if needed—store it offline.
